Rangers Roll

The Rangers have had good news on both the pro and junior fronts as both teams have gone on winning streaks.

The Junior Ranger team one its first game in pre-season and then lost the rest which left most thinking it was going to be an abysmal season. They lost their first game but have now reeled off 4 straight wins to lead the Wales JR conference. Injuries have given some players some opportunities that they've exploited. Last game saw Kaigorodov, Kubista, and Ferland but up 5 points each. Kubista had been seeing limited ice time and Ferland was dressed for just his first game.

"Hopefully it's a sign of things to come," said a smiling Kubista after the game. "We really clicked out there."

The pro team also seems to be rounding into form as they've reeled off three straight wins. The teams is second in goals for behind the suddenly super potent Devils and are showing that they can score goals in bunches. Last night against the Sharks was a good example as they had players contributing from all four lines. It's far to early to forecast point totals but if one were to do this today the Rangers would have 5 players a on pace for 82 points or higher.

"Well that kind of thing is a little premature," laughed the speedy Par Backer. "We're just concentrating on the next game. Point totals only matter after you win the cup. Before then it's all about the team and the win."
