Boyes beginning to shine
Columbus, OH
The Blue Jackets are finally getting more production from Brad Boyes. The 25 year old forward is really coming into his own, as not only a playmaking forward, but a quality leader on the ice. With a recent injury to Mikko Koivu, players like Boyes were called upon to step up on both ends of the ice. Boyes has answered the call and is now the Jackets leading scorer. With Calder candidate Raffi Torres on the left wing, Boyes is really finding his groove. " Getting the puck up ice is key for us, our defense is improving at rushing the puck, and as our team grows, we really believe our forwards will develop into Clutch All-Stars...good puck movement is the key to winning...and we're working hard on being in the right place and keeping our feet moving." said assistant coach Perry Pearn.
