Second Place Sens look to Hold off Devils
Well, your Ottawa Senators have been surging of late. Even though they hold a few games in hand over some of the other competitors in their conference, for now, their position in the top half of the conference has people and players baffled!
The Senators have found their scoring touch apparently as they hit the 100 GF mark earlier than they ever have before. Selanne and Petrasek have been leading the way in this department for OTtawa helping them to their best record after 30 games in franchise history.
Tonight, Ottawa will look to hold off the New Jersey Devils. A conference rival whom the Sens have had a great deal of trouble beating in recent days.Things are looking up however as Chris Osgood will get the start tonight and Tom Poti, who is still out, is looking better.
Ottawa is still looking to make some moves to give them that edge in the second half of the season. Names of note are Zhitnik, Poti, Ryder, Nedved, Fata - the holdout bastard, and possibly others.
