Buffalo Sabres Hold onto 4th Seed

Buffalo – A.P.

The Buffalo Sabres won a crucial game between themselves and the Ottawa Senators tonight as they won the game 3 to 2 and hope to revitalize the nearly dead team that fell from second to fourth place in the Wales Conference. The Ottawa Senators sit fifth in the Wales Conference right behind the Buffalo Sabres and if they were to win, it would have sent the Buffalo Sabres to fifth seed, the lowest place they would have been all season.

The win wasn’t an easy one for the Buffalo Sabres as they were out played most of the game despite winning the shot category 29 - 25 they nearly blew the game in the third period where they were leading 3 to 1 until a Pierre-Marc Bouchard in the third brought the Ottawa Senators to a one goal deficit with nearly twelve minutes left in the period. But luckily the Buffalo Sabres were able to hold them off and record the win as they inch closer to the number two seed.
