Blues extend offseason

The ink on the Blues endorsement deals are drying. There captains and assistants are in place. The Blues have done there training camp. Now the Regular season is starting but the Blues wont be in the mix on day 1 as the powers that be have decided that the Blues deserve they dayt off? thats right the Schedule was released the other day and while the Blues get shafted on day 1 they will be in the savis center playing on the first day of the season as the red and white teams. GM Foley had these comments, "Our fans where disappointed that we where not playing so to get them in the spirit we will be holding an intersquad game. The Jr players have all been sent down and will play on day 1 and the fans of the Blues will all be invited to the intersquad game at no charge." News of the game broke on the news yesterday during the local news report and the Blues switchboard quickly lit up with fans trying to get seats for the game. While most fans we talked too aren't likely to see a lot of hitting it is likely to be a great night with tons of giveaways. On day 2 of the season the Blues will be at home to face the Hawks before they hit the road on a mini road trip. Last season the Blues where 2-2 against the Hawks and will be looking to improve on that record.

The Baby Blue on the other hand will open the season on the road where they will face the Islanders jr squad before heading to Dallas and then they will return home to face the Rangers. It should be a tough season for the Baby Blues who are expected to start rookie drafrt pick Jeff Glass in net. Of course this is only preseason action and it is unlikely the Blues will be starting any of there top line players but as of yet the official lineup card for either team is unavailable to the press.

It's only the preseason green engine.
