Capitals Sign New Backup Goaltender
The Washington Capitals signed Peter Skudra recently to a two-year deal worth $1,000,001 per season. The 32-year-old netminder will backup the legendary Manny Legace.
Skudra checks in at 6-1 and 189 pounds. He has solid speed and good puck control, but he needs to work on his intensity and strength. He won't be asked to play very often, so his less than adequate endurance and durability aren't a real problem.
Peter hails from Riga, Latvia.
