Panthers Return to Action

The Florida Panthers return to action tonight after a 5 day break. The Panthers are in Vancouver to play the Canucks.

The Panthers are no longer alone at the top. During their break the Hurricanes and the Devils have joined them atop of the Wales Conference. The Penguins are only 1 point behind in third spot.

The Wales Conference is shaping up to be the tougher of the two with only five point seperating 1rst place (14 points) and 13th spot(9 points). The Islanders currently hold that 13th spot but have a game in hand and with a win could move up to a tie for 6th.

The Panthers have also been replace by the St. Louis Blues(16 points) for first overall and the Nashville Predators (15 points) hold the second overall spot. The Panthers are currently tied for 3rd overall with the Coyotes, Hurricanes and Devils.

Roberto Loungo will get the start tonight against the Canucks and will need to play well to keep his team close to everyone else in the league.
