Rangers Land Morrow

The New York Rangers landed left winger Brendan Morrow last night in the latest of a series of moves that GM Burns has made to improve his team. The Rangers paid a heavy price in moving Peter Polcik to Phoenix but Burns felt the move was a postive one.

"We loved Polcik here. At only 22 years of age he's loaded with potential. He's great defensively and offensively plus he's an all around nice kid. With Morrow on out team we feel we're better immediately instead of in the future. Our number one goal with this team is to make the playoffs. Morrow is only 26 so we anticipate he'll be a contributor for years to come. We believe that with the addition of morrow there are few teams that can boast the kind of skill and depth we have on the wings. Erat will move to right wing so our top six will look like this."

"We continue to look to pursue a second line centre, defencemen, and a goaltender. Klouckec and Orpik are on the block at the moment."
