Time for changes in Edmonton?
After another devastating loss in Edmonton yesterday it makes you question how long GM Schmuck will let it continue before making some drastic changes to the Edmonton line-up. The Oilers are 2-4-1 in their first 7 games. Their only postitive notes being their home attendence with the Skyreach center selling out more then not and their tremedours power play (33.3% 3rd in the league). The negatives however; over 4.00 goals against per game (4th last), lack of defense and big name players not living up to their name:
Nikolai Khabibulin
Rated 82
In 7 games played has a terrible .867 save% and 3.76 GAA
Jason Allison
Rated 85
In 7 games played has a -4 rating and only 2 pts
Darcy Tucker
Rated 79
In 7 games played has a -2 rating and only 2 pts
It's been rumoured that some big trades are in the works involving the players listed above; and after how bad the Oilers start has been compared to how good it was expected to be I don't think anyone is surprsied.
