When the Edmonton Oilers needed to cut salary Espen Knutsen of Norway was the first to go. There were rumblings in Edmonton about problems in the dressing room, a bad attitude, and lacklustre play but it seems that the photo shoot for a shampoo add depicted on the right may have been the last straw. When asked about the trade GM David Burns said, "Espen can be a little........ah.......eccentrit but we feel he's still got some talent and can help out out on our third line. We're thinking a third line of Knutsen, Nash, and Ponikarovsky makes a combination that could really make some noise. It's a low risk manouvere but it could pay big dividends. Achem.
