Leafs gm share Rangers meds, then is rumored to have made huge trade.

After whats been a frustrating few weeks that saw the Leafs claw back to get a playoff spot, word has spread that the Leafs GM had been taking the same medication that fellow Rangers gm had been prescribed.

If you recall, the Rangers recently made a Blockbuster deal with the Blues. Some said the Rangers truly had lost their minds trading away Erat. Maybe they werent far off from that assement.

The Leafs/Sharks deal is rumored to be this...

To Toronto Maple Leafs: Mats Sundin, Teppo Numminen, Igor Knyazev, Adam Nittel, Magnus Arvedson and Shawn Horcoff
To San Jose Sharks: Glen Murray, Brian Leetch and Sami Salo

Did these same Meds drive this GM to trade away their best player in Glen Murray for older stars and seemingly mediocre bundle of extras tossed in? This after the Leafs were actually playing well and turning things around.

If this is the case, there are many gms whos state of mind is in question. Teams like the Sens, Blues, Habs, and Lightning just to name a few could all be looking for some medication to help them keep their sanity...but, if it leads to making deals like these, maybe they are better off staying insane.

So, if you are a GM who has started taking these meds supposidly supplied by the League shrink, take note and read the fine print on the bottle that states

***CAUTION::taking this medication may lead to thinking players you want in a trade look better than they actually are. Trading, driving heavy machinery, watching Leaf games and other self-inflicting type of activities should all be done under the supervision of a doctor***
