Panthers Win Streak Hits 3

PHILADEPHIA
The Florida Panthers were in town to complete the home and home series against the Flyers. The Panthers won the first game 5-3 and the Flyers were looking for revenge.

That was no too be though as the Panthers came out strong and out shot the flyers 10-5 in the first period. Valeri Bure started the scoring at 8:08 and Kim Johnsson finished the scoring in the period at 15:48 when he notched his 8th of the season to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The Flyers Viktor cut the lead in half at 3:22 scoring his 21rst of the season and third in two games. Eric Daze gave the Panthers back their 2 goal cushion when he went scored his 10th of the year at 7:01. Patrik Stefan added another at 9:52 and the Panthers looked like a team on a mission.

Petr Bondra made it 5-1 in the third at 11:50 notching his 16th of the season. The Flyers Michael Schutte scored a late period goal at 18:51 but it was not enough as Florida cruised to their third win in a row with a 5-2 victory over Philadelphia.

The Panthers head back home to host the Columbus Blue Jackets and then head back on the road to Anaheim to play the Ducks.
