Rangers GM Arrested for Poisoning Thilbault, Dunham
In one of the most shocking events in sports history Rangers GM David Burns has been jailed and accused of poisoning his own players.
After and intense investigation that was wide reaching and involved co-ordinating New York CSI, FBI, CIA and other law enforcement agencies the findings were finally revealed and Burns returned to jail where he has spent a startling portion of his season.
"The New York Police department are certain we have the right man," stated the lead investigator. "There is substantial material evidence that leads us directly to Mr. Burns. He has suffered from violent outburst, suicidal tendancies, periods of mania, and has been hospitalized and medicated several times this season. He instigated a continent wide riot and is clearly unstable. His motivation seems to have been an intense desire to enact revenge on which ever goalie was losing at the time. It started when he traded for Thilbault and goaltender struggled but then continued when Mike Dunham struggled at teims. Having said that, he has built a hell of a team, and we wish the players all the luck in the world on their way to the Cup. GO RANGERS!"
Mr. Burns issued the following press release from prison.
"I am shocked and devestated at these unfounded accusations. I love Mike Dunham. He's done a great job for us. Jocelyn Thilbault has been sensational in a difficult situation and I have had nothing but concern about their health since this all started. This is obviously some sort of conspiracy from inside the league or from another jealous GM that has been set upon me with the intent of distracting my team. I look forward to my day in court when the light of justice shall brighten the caverns of greed and corruption and the truth shall walk forth with its head held high."
