Oleg Saprykin back in Boston

Breaking news from Boston's NBC5 reporter, Mac Brill, says that the team has formally extended a contract offer to the free agent after several weeks of uncertainty and on-and-off negotiations.

Reporting from the Fleet Center campus, near the team offices, Brill reported "The team, after their recent offensive slump, decided to make the leap with Saprykin. Sure, maybe he is not as sexy as the weathergirl who may or may not be flirting with you, but honestly - is the shoulder touch a sign of interest or is it just her way of reaching up to the top-shelf since she is a bit shorter? So which is it, Megan Hudson? Too short... or too interested?"

The station abruptly cut away from Brill before he could continue his report. Lead sports anchor, Gayle Garetson, whose parents obviously hated him (or were big Gayle Sayers fans), reports the team upped its bonus offer to the free agent in the hopes of luring him back to action.

When contacted, GM Joshua Anderson said he would make no comments at this time.
