Tampa set for Season

(Tampa) - The Tampa Bay Lightning are going into the season with more confidence and look to have a better start then they did last season. Out of the gate, the team performed badly and only a late collapse of the Devils allowed them to make the playoffs. This year, the team is more confident and look forward to a big year.

"This season we have a new goalie who should really bring us a few more wins and the scoring should be balanced over 3 lines for sure. The defence hasn't looked this good ever and right now the team is very confident they can bring the cup back to Tampa." Gm Sprackman stated today.

"I think we can play with anyone in the league right now and our top 5 Dmen are extremely strong. Up front, I hope to have a big year this year and playing top line with Milan should really help out my scoring ability." Calder stated at his summer home.

Gm Sprackman was still looking to make a trade or two but right now, the team seems set and will go into the season with what they got. The Jr's are ok and should do a little better then last season. Hopefully a turn around year for them and let some of the youngsters develope even more for the Bolts to use down the road.
