Tampa Deal the "Devil"
(Tampa) - Tonight the Tampa Bay Lightning traded away a superstar to bring in a couple of youngsters and have some room on the cap. It was a deal worked out between new Gm of the Pens and Gm Sprackman that saw the Lightning bid on David Steckel during the free agency period. With the bid, Gm Sprackman and Gaggy worked out a deal that saw David Steckel and young winger Dustin Brown come to Tampa and Satan going to the Pens with 2.5 million in clutch dollars.
"You never win when you trade an all star but his contract was too much for us and now we get some much needed youth into the organization to blend in with the rest of the team." Gm Sprackman stated. "Satan is an extremely skilled player and we see us being tortured by the Pens when we play them this year but this is a hockey move and now we have some room to make moves. It will work out in the long run."
Are the Lightning done? Who knows but Gm Sprackman doesn't seemed content on the team yet and more changes could be made before the season starts.
