Canuck Update
The Canucks opened the week with a tough 5-4 loss against the avalanche.Alexander Ault came up with his worst performance of the season at a bad time .This led to a tough practice the next day in preperation for the visiting Devils.
The message was recieved loud and clear as the boys came out flying. Before the game was 11 minutes old the Canucks were up 4-0.Goals from Nash ,Lang ,Zednik and Conroy with his 1st of the year pretty much ended this one before it started.Marchant ended the bid for Ault,s shutout with a powerplay goal at 16;47.Letenin rounded out the scoring late in the second with his 5th of the season. This performance was more of what we are looking for from this season,s Canucks.
Breaking news the Vancouver Canucks traded Brad Richards along with a 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canucks recieved sniper Ollie Jokenin youngster Matthew Lombardi and the Canes 1st round pick this season. We felt this was a risk worth taking as Lombardi with a little luck could be a Canuck in a few seasons.Also having the extra 1st makes trading a little easier so look for more moves from the west coast.Ollie is a little older but there is nothing wrong with experience.Look for Ollie to center the line with Nash and Knuble as his wingers.Till the next time Merry Christmas kiddies.
