Leafs "B" squad ends losing streak
Sign of talent on the farm? or reminder of how weak teams really are in this league?
With 4 of their top players out of the Leafs starting lineup, Leaf fans were expecting more losing results. Names like Horcoff, Gautier, Morris, Nabokov all missing due to injury or fatigue. So, in comes argueably one of the weakest back-up goalies in the league in Johan Hedberg, and a few unsuspecting players stepping up to motivate this team into a 3-3 tie with the lowly Bruins, and a 7-4 surprise win over the weak Bluejackets.
Sure, this looks like to be more of good fortune of the quality, or lack their of , of their opponents. It gave the lesser lights a chance to shine and they did. We are talking 70-73 ov farm types here. You know, the type of players that fill the Ducks and Flyers starting rosters on a daily basis.

Its surely not much to get overly excited about , however, if teams have to play the 6-8 teams who seem to all be going for the Crosby sweeps, then they really shouldnt have any trouble making the playoffs. Infact, it would seem to be more difficult losing games then winning.
Just an observation from someone who isnt usually observant
