Rangers Pull Trigger Again

Newly arrived Lupul shipped out for Eminger.

Jofferey Lupul hadn't even had a chance to unpack his bags or by a new cell phone. The New York Rangers called him out of practice today and informed the young gun that he'd been deal to Los Angeles for promising young defenceman Steve Eminger.

"Well I'm a little stunned," said a white faced Lupul. "I was hoping to be here a long time. I guess they called me out of practice because I don't actually have a phone yet. I'm...really surprised."

"Nothing against Joffery," said GM Burns as he chomped on a cigar. "I just can't abide a guy who can't spell his own name. Jeffery. J-e-f-f-e-r-y. Jeffery. I asked him if he'd change the spelling and he said no so I sent him as far away as possible. Gives me the willies that kind of thing. Really."

The Rangers fill what was considered a major need with the addition of Steve Eminger. He can fill in as their 3rd/4th dman at the moment but has a big upside and should be in the top 4 for years to come.

"I talked to the Rangers' management and they said they're really going to give me some serious ice time to prove myself. It's what I've been waiting for for a long time," said Eminger over the phone.
