Sens Look to Rebound vs. Capitals Tonight

The Ottawa Senators broke their 3 game winning streak with a loss to the Kings on Thursday night. The 5-4 loss saw youngster David Petrasek come up with another multi-point game as he is now tied for the team scoring lead with Selanne and Morrison. It also saw starting tender, Chris Osgood, pulled in the 3rd period. However, Schmucky says that Osgood will get the call again tonight, "We traded for him in the offseason and he is our #1 guy. Bottom line, those goals were not all his fault and we want him to know that. He had a weak 3rd period but was strong otherwise so we have confidence in Ossy to do a good job. He WILL rebound tonight and have a stellar game. I could see him being the reason we win tonight. He takes things very seriously and will come back with a vengeance!"

The Senators are at home facing a Capitals squad that is merely 4 points behind them in the standings. The Caps are coming off of a crushing of the Blackhawks and should be pumped up and ready to battle with the Senators tonight.

This game will be in the 2nd sim this evening and could be a battle of the basement to remember. The Sens are rested and fully healthy.

They also look forward to possibly signing young winger Rico Fata this week as the Holdout period seems to be coming to an end and the 20 game mark is only a couple sims away. He could provide a much needed spark on the 3rd line with Nedved to get the Sens a few more wins!
