Bruins weigh options on Connolly

The Boston Bruins were dealt a healthy blow today when they learned the St. Louis Blues, last year's President's Trophy winning team who was eliminated in round one, made a mind-blowing offer of $2 million per season and a $4 million signing bonus for winger Tim Connolly.

Anderson was quoted as saying to the press, "Obviously, Mr. Percival Foley does not wish a repeat of the stunning and embarassing loss in the opening round from CLUTCH Postseason Four. I can understand that - I have experienced the taste of defeat, though never one as staggering or shocking as that one. The taste in his mouth must rival that of Gucci after he cuddles with his friend 'David C.' So of course he is going to go out for a premium talent."

"Now, Tim Connolly is a young talent, but for his overall skills, he is not a stand out scorer, passer, or defenseman. So the Bruins intend to take their full forty-eight hours to determine if he is a player we should retain... or if the team should accept the compensation for such a player of his skills."

"Either way, we wish Tim Connolly the best of success in his future playing time... and we'll see where that time comes."
