Anaheim acquires Yachmenev, Names Captains.

Anaheim GM Kyle Schmuck has continued to make deals over the last 2 days slowly putting the pieces in place for what they hope will be a playoff team, The highlight transaction being the trade with the Senators that brings Winger Yachmenev to the Ducks Line-Up, Yachmenev will compete with recently acquired Asham for the Ducks 1st Line RW position. In exchange for Yachmenev, Anaheim sends goaltender Fred Brathwaite to the Senators, When asked about the deal GM Schmuck said 'It doesn't make much sense to have depth at the Goalie position when you don't even have 6 solid forwards'. This will put 100% of the pressure on Nurminen as the Ducks new starter.

Anaheim also named there Captains for the upcoming season, To no surprise Paul Kariya will be wearing the C, Sergei Fedorov has been giving the A as well as Ducks #1 Defensman Colin White.
