Jackets find a direction?
Over the last few seasons the direction of the Columbus Blue Jackets has been uncertain at best. The team has posted a lackluster record and just lacking in every way shape and form to be a contender. The Blue Jackets do have some bright spots to be happy about. The team does have a rather young minor league system. In past season the minor league was full of ineffective and inefficient coaches. The team has removed them and went into a different direction. We have decided to work on skills more and more and finding new ways to make funds to send our young players to skill camps.
Ryan Suter is really happy about the chance to go to camp two different times and help progress his skills further. Ryan was a highly touted defensive prospect who has not progressed nearly to what the world has expected him to. Several other minor league players have complained and finally the management has listened. As a result several other players have been announced to be receiving skill camps. We in the Jackets organization realize in order for us to get better we need to build from within. We need to take the talented players we have and help them in everyway shape and form to be the great athletes we know they can.
In past we feel we were the joke of the league. The Jackets organization has noticed this and has decided enough is enough. Its time to stop feeling sorry for our past misfortunes and start paving the way for a bright future for this organization. There is no reason that in a season or three this team cannot see a playoff berth. At worst at the end of the year this team will be able to say we have used all of our resources and all of our energy to make this team a winner. For Jackets and the management this is a last stand to make the team great and to show the league and the fans that the dream that was set forth in the beginning is a dream that’s attainable and that will become a reality.
