"Lyin in bed, just like Brian Wilson did"

The Barenaked Ladies' smash hit was an appropriate song to have on in the Baby Bruins locker room as the team took its first of three days off.

The Cubs coach, Dick Srch, gave them the day off to rest some wounds. That could be critical in recovering goaltender Jordan Sigalet, who is not injured, just worn down. Coming into the Juniors, he has not experienced the weekly grind of scheduling before. Currently, he finds himself gasping for air at the end of a period. the team hopes to set Sigalet up for endurance and durability trainign with Billy Banks at some point in the future. Brock Hooten will ikely see some additional time after forty-six minutes of not letting a goal in.

Additionally, defenseman Milan Jurcina, one of the team's developing stars, is out with a tender groin injury. In fact, it has swollen to the point he is getting looks from both the women AND the men when he goes out to dinner.

Management from the parent club also expects to pay a visit to determine the campability of any of the young players.

Among the things management will be looking at is how a defenseman - Jaakko Harikkala - could be leading the team in goals. There is some hope with Martin Samuelsson, who is second in points despite only ten appearances, and Brett Nowak, who is fifth with only nine games played.
