Baby Bruins fall to Dallas' Novas

Jordan Sigalet was hung with his tenth loss of the season as the Baby Bruins put up a stellar 0-fer on the four power play opportunities they had losing 5-3 to the Dallas squad.

Ladislav Vlcek scored just thirty-seven seconds into the game to set the torrid scoring pace of the first period. The Next Stars tacked on two more goals (Umicevic, Rosa) to take an early 3-0 lead bedfore the Cubs before Jake Taylor netted his first of the season at the 12:10 mark.

The first period was marred by five penalties, with Boston taking three of them. Somehow, Dallas' Steve Ott went down to injury in a fight he was not involved in, which makes great film, when Michal Barinka and Roman Vopat fought to a draw.

The second period featured two power play goals by Dallas, following Berti's major for checking from behind and Vopat adding an elbowing minor to his tally for the day - a team high nine minutes. Sigalet took a seat for Brock Hooten after the second power play goal.

The Cubs then began to roar back to close the gap when Rick Kozak scored, unassisted at 7:05, and Jaakko Harikkala buried the puck at the 10:21 mark of the second period.

Jason Bacashihua then locked the door on the net for Dallas for the remainder of the game, stopping all momentum. The third period was scoreless, though featured six penalties splt four-to-two in Dallas' favor.

The loss drops the Baby Bruins to 3-10-0 overall and in the same spot as the parent club - dead ass last in the Wales Conference. The team will be off on Saturday for some recuperation and new strategizing.
