Morrison Ryde's his way to 3 points!

The Senators snuck another game away from the Lightning today, beating them by a score of 3-2 in Ottawa in front of more than 16000 fans for the first time this year. It was a great, close game yet again between these two teams and yet again, penalties proved to be the deciding factor as the game winner was a powerplay goal by Brendan Morrison at 11:30 of the third period.

The story of the afternoon, as well as the entire year so far, was Brendan Morrison's excellent play. Morrison had 2 of the 3 goals and assisted on the other. Michael Ryder also notched 3 assists for his first 3 point game of the year!

With Ryan Whitney's status elevated to day to day from being out for a month as was heard this morning, Jim Fahey will have to step up defensively to get the Senators past the 1st place Panthers tomorrow.
