Bruins-Canes matchup imminent, wager challenge issued
All season long we've had to hear "Canes!!!" and "Wow, I just feel fortunate to be in this spot." and "I know the downfall is coming eventually."
Well, his little 2-6-2 slide is going to look like a joy ride when the Boston Bruins visit Carolina for tonight's match-up.
The Boston hockey club enters the game 31-25-4 on the season, sitting in fifth place in the Conference, but first in the Adams Division. Meanwhile, Carolina is 29-19-12, third overall in the Wales. The Bruins are on a two game slide, but are 6-3-1 in their last ten. The Bruins are expected to have Richard Jackman return to their lineup tonight after a three game league suspension and what appeared to be an additional two game team-imposed one.
"After the last shellacking we took at the hands of the CANES!, we look forward to returning the favor," GM Joshua Anderson said. "The fact that Cory Stillman may not be one hundred percent... we're okay with. What is important is to shut up Mark Lohaus (he denies that is his picture at left, many question this) and his redundant CANES screeches. He sounds like a little girl watching a 'NSync video or a stoner watching HR Puffenstuff..."
"So that's all there is to it. A Bruins win, a Canes humiliation, and I'll even make the same wager I made with Mike Perrault - if he accepts this challenge before the game, the loser has to write a flattering blog about the winner."
