Tampa - The Lightning are on a break, after a very hectic schedule and hope for other teams to play lots and lose lots. With as many as 4 more games played then some of the chasers, the Lightning can only watch as these teams play catch up. A playoff spot is far from secure and right now the Bolts are scoreboard watching almost every night. On the heals of the Bolts are the Flyers, Leafs, Devils, Penguins and Canadians. All have games on hand and could close the gap in very short fashion.
"Am I worried?" A very relaxed Gm said. "Not worried, but I am paying very close attention to what is going on, not only behind us but in front of us too. After our bad start, we have placed ourselves in the thick of things for the Division crown and a spot in the playoffs. The whole point of an 82 game season is to make the playoffs. Thats our goal and right now we are almost there. We have to play every night and give ourselves a chance to win, but you can't win them all, so we hope for a little help."
The Bolts have stopped shopping players around, since it hasn't yeilded a trade for them so right now Gm Sprackman has said he would make moves but isn't wasting time trying to get a deal done.
