Nineteen shots?
The Boston Bruins lockerroom was closed following the teams pathetic offensive showing against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes, a move which will surely cost the team in fines. Needless to say, the team fell in defeat, though only 4-2, as Joh Grahame was saddled with the loss, his ninth of the year.
What was audible was the sounds of excessive profanity, unfit for this paper, and the repeated throwing of objects against the wall.
At one point, GM Joshua Anderson ducked his head out of the room and mumbled that perhaps the reporters should return tomorrow, slamming the door behind him without a pause for response.
The Bruins managed a shot split of only 6-9-4 in the three periods, with one goal coming in the third from Martin Havlat on a power play effort. In fact, the Bruins paltry effort on goal came DESPITE having five power play attempts, including a two-man advantage in the third period for almost a minute.
