Washington's Bergenheim Among Top Junior Left Wings
The Washington Junior Capitals missed the playoffs, but Sean Bergenheim could not be blamed for the team's shortcomings. The dynamic wing finished the year 10th in scoring among left wings with 61 points.
Bergenheim, 22, led the club in scoring with 22 goals and 39 assists in 73 games. Only one of his markers came on the power play, but he did score two while shorthanded. Sean was also fourth on the club in hits with 115.
Last season the Helsinki, Finland native scored 18 goals and 26 assists in 66 games. His 17-point improvement is a big reason why the Junior Capitals competed for a spot in the playoffs this season and finished the year with nine more points.
