Mini Camp opens in Whistler

The Vancouver Canucks opened a mini camp in Whistler Bc . They were put through some dry land training and spme gym work.
Newly named captain Dainius Zubrus was excited to be placed on a line with newcomer Mike Richards and Richard Zednick in the 1st scrimmage of camp. The 2nd line was made up of smooth passer Robert Lang and 2 more newly aquired players super sniper Rick Nash and wiley vet Mike Knuble.The checking line was made up of Craig Conroy centering Jere Letinen and Tyler Bouck. 4th line is Evgeny Gladskitk Scott Walker and Jason King who will get a chance to make an impression with selfish Ruslan Fedotenko continuing his holdout.

The defense is a work in progress this year Jordan Leopold and Karel Rachenek will battle with vet Aaron Ward for !st line duty.Andreas Holmqvist will probably end up on 2nd line duty.Steve McCarthy will anchor the 3rd pairinfg with stay at home d-man Mattius Norstrom.Ruslan Salei will be the 7th man in the rotation.

Goaltending will be Alex Aults to lose.He will be expected to keep the Canucks in the game and if he falters Byron Defoe is standing by to do the job.

Tomorrow the boys will skate in the morning and then some will golf and some have booked a local fishing charter.
