Alfredsson, Rangers Juniors Hot

The New York Rangers pulled out a win against the Anaheim Ducks last night largley due to another 3 point effort by Daniel Alfredsson. Alfredsson - one of the best bargains in the league at 2.4 million per season currently sits tied for third in scoring with 9 goals and 3 assists in 8 games. His 9 goals ties him with Paul Kariya for the league lead in goals.

"It's been fun here," said a postive Alfredsson after the game. "I really enjoy playing with Mats. We can communicate in Swedish so none of the opposition know what we're saying," he joked. "We've got a good team here. Guys are setting me up well."

The Rangers Junior squad continues it's surprising start. The team is top of the league with 6 wins and only 1 loss.

"We've got some chemistry going," said GM Burns. Kubista, Ferland and Kaigorodov have clicked and are dangerous every shift. Our second line is playing to a high level as well and our goaltending and defence are outstanding. There's a real camradarie in the dressing room and that makes all the difference."
