Flyers riding high

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – After a well earned 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes, the Flyers are feeling more confident.

With recent acquisitions and young talent finally coming through the Flyers are finally starting to win games. The only problem will be staying healthy and keeping up the pace. A mix of grit and youngsters will try and make life for opponents very tough each game. The Flyers still have some young players constantly working on their defensive game. Guys like Matthew Stajan and Igor Grigorenko are two names that fit into this category and work on their defensive zone coverage each game, learning more as they mature.

The Flyers have announced their lineup for Day 61 against Florida and it looks as follows:

G-Martin Gerber

Martin Gerber has been playing very well this far into the season and he is finally getting support from his offence giving him a chance to win. Earlier in the year he would be playing well and the team would be losing close one and two goal games. Gerber’s record has improved to 7-12-4 with one shutout and a very solid 2.57 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. Flyers winger Darcy Tucker will look to continue his hot hand against his former team as he picked up 4 points in 2 games so far with Philly.
