Junior Capitals Cut by Sabres

The Washington Junior Capitals continued to struggle on Day 19, falling 2-1 to the Buffalo Junior Sabres on home ice. The loss is Washington's sixth in a row.

After a scoreless opening period, Patrick O'Sullivan gave the Caps a 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Sean Bergenheim and Siarhei Kolasau at 12:46. Buffalo battled back to tie the game when Ryznar netted from Denisov and King at 17:05.

The Sabres turned up the heat in the final period and outshot Washington 14-8. Ryznar's second goal of the game from Lapierre and King at 2:56 gave Buffalo the victory.

Brad Topping made 24 saves in the loss and fell to 1-5. Adam Munro stopped 24 shots in the win.

The Junior Capitals visit Columbus on Day 20.
