Junior Senators Have a Shot at 1st Place Tonight!
The Ottawa Senators dismal season thus far and EXTREMELY LONG amount of time off has given the fans a chance to focus on the Ottawa Jr. Squad who have been playing excellent hockey of late. The JR. Sens vaulted past the JR. CANES! last night after winning 4-3 over the St.Louis JR. Squad. Chris Kelley lead the way with a hat trick while goaltender Tobias Stephan made 18 saves in the victory.
This success is somewhat of a surprise to GM Schmucky as his #1 D-man has been injured for over a month due to a vicious attack by a Canucks JR. Goon. Also, this week saw R. Olesz and N. Tarnasky, two vital pieces of the JR. Sens puzzle, ship off to camp to improve SC.
Nonetheless, when Ottawa takes on the Stars Jr. team tonight, they have an opportunity for first place in the Wales Conference. Christian Pollar is expected to start in net tonight and Brian O'Hanley will be a game time decision.
