Senators Lose a Close one

The Ottawa Senators will be happy to have Alexei Kovalev return to the lineup to hopefully provide some missing firepower. Kovalev suffered an undisclosed injury two games ago and sat out again last night. Not that he should be blamed for the loss, but losing 3-2 to Washington shows how much they miss the superstar LW when he isn't around.
Ottawa played an average game. Their powerplay clicked for both of their goals giving them a 2-0 lead after the first period. However, the Caps tied it up in the second and scored the game winner in the third to take the two points away from the Sens.
Chris Osgood played a great game stopping 29 of 32 shots but his offense couldn't help him out scoring only two goals on a dispicable 22 total shots.
It is expected the Ozzy will get the start after this short layoff and with Kovalev back, Ottawa hopes to put up a better fight. It is obvious that they have a lack of depth up front.
Schmucky is reportedly shopping Selanne around to see what he could get for the 82 Overall, 3.3 million dollar man. Apparently, they are hoping for a player with similar, but obviously not as high, of a rating and a bit more than 1 year left on their deal.
