Capitals Add Pair of Picks

The Washington Capitals added a pair of future draft picks in a recent trade with the Boston Bruins. The organization continued to have a number of players available, including four precious junior defenders.

The acquired picks are Year 2008 Boston 4 and Year 2009 Boston 4. With the new arrivals, the Capitals now have eight selections in Year 2008 and six selections in 2009. While not high in either draft, with some good scouting the club expects to add good prospects for the future.

Heading to Boston are right wingers Kevin Caulfield and Mike Peluso. Both players are farm hands and not likely to crack the pro lineup with the Bruins.

Washington GM John Henry is looking to make more moves as the league moves into the preseason. Stay tuned for future developments...
