Rangers Still Filling Rosters

The New York Rangers got active last night as they worked the phones feverishly to try and get some warm bodies into their Junior line up.

"We continue to have talks with teams and we anticipate a full junior team shortly," said GM Burns. "We picked up a few...well this might destroy their self esteem but....a few warm bodies tonight. They'll fill out the uniforms anway. Wouldn't get to excited about it."

Burns also announced that the team had extended contract offers to 3 unassigned players but declined to comment on who. "We'll wait until the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed before we announce any names," he sighed.

Right now we have three competitive advantages we've worked hard to maintain throughout the off season. We have a very young talented team, a good amount of cap space, and a decent amount of money in the bank. The money is going to be largely sucked away by signing jrs which of course makes very little sense but there you have it. So that leaves us with a young exciting team and cap space. Hopefully we can leverage those advantages at some point. We'll keep working to improve the team."
