Rangers Reel in Bodies

The New York Rangers went on an acquistion rampage last night. With the pre-season approaching and pressure mounting to fill violations the Rangers snapped up nine juniors to add to their junior roster and signed 3 pros to their pro roster.

"We hope to be done this process today," said GM Burns in a media scrum outside Madison Square Garden. We have two more signings on the table in pro and we hope we can pick up the two left wing juniors we need to complete our violations in junior. Our team will remain diligent in our efforts to avoid this kind of catastrophic melt down again. I'm really looking forward to the regular season and feel confident that our team can do some serious damage."

Total expense so far: 11 jr 3.55 million + signing of 5 pros at 200K per SB = 1 million. Total: 4.55 million.

"We feel fortunate to have picked up two jrs without having to part with cash or we would have spent 5.55 million on all these players. We will continue to advocate to the league for some sort of change to the junior rules or an addition to the juniors available in order to avoid the kind of mess that is quite financially crippling. We still have 2 jrs to sign so the price is going higher still."
