Senators Get SMOKED! Hendrikx has a Solid Camp

The Ottawa Senators got embarrassed last night as the Islanders made Turek look foolish in his return to the lineup. The 7-3 victory was a kick in the nuts to goalie Roman Turek who has been having a rough week since being discovered at Huggy's, the male strip club on Thursday.

There isn't much to say about the game itself....it SUCKED. After 30 minutes it was 5-0 Isles and they would not look back from that. Even though Petr Nedved put forth a solid effort with a 2 point night, the team was just too weak.

Alexei Smirnov was injured in the 2nd period of last nights game and is expected to miss at least the next 2 games with an undisclosed injury.

However, GM Schmucky will welcome Michael Ryder back into the lineup tomorrow night as he recovers from his 3 weeks on the DL and will hopefully make a decent contribution and add some spark to this struggling lineup.


Young Defenseman Trevor Hendrikx just returned from strength camp having bolstered excellent results. He moved up 6 points and an overall point as well from the camp. He is looking forward to flexing some serious muscle in the game tonight.
